Arnaud Pieton is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Technip Energies NV
Training:
Pieton graduated from Polytech Nantes with a master’s degree in Material Science and Welding. He later attended the executive education program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Career:
Before joining Technip, Pieton held several positions at Serimax, a welding company that provides services for onshore and offshore pipeline installation, multi-jointing and subsea fabrication within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. In 2004 he left Serimax and joined Technip SA.
For the next 13 years, Arnaud Pieton would hold several leadership positions within Technip SA. The most notable included being President of the Asia Pacific Region covering both subsea and onshore and offshore operations, as well as other subsea leadership assignments based out of Paris, Houston and Kuala Lumpur.
In January 2017, after the company’s merger with FMC Technologies he was made Executive Vice President of People and Culture at TechnipFMC, and in 2018 he became President of TechnipFMC’s subsea business segment.
Finally, Pieton was made Chief Executive Officer of Technip Energies and an executive director on the board in October 2020, following the resignation of Catherine MacGregor and just prior to TechnipFMC and Technip Energies NV parting ways.

Arnaud Pieton is 46 years old, and before TechnipFMC split with Technip Energies he was the youngest executive in the company.
