Benoit Coquart has been with Legrand since 1997, and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2010. He has been a key player in the company’s shift towards digitization and digital infrastructure.

Born on November 30 1973, Coquart joined Legrand in 1997 immediately after he finished his studies at both the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the French business school, ESSEC. He initially was in charge of managing the group’s activities in South Korea, but subsequently took charge of Investor Relations.
Coquart remains with Legrand to this day, having spent his entire career with the company. From Investor Relations he moved up, holding several high profile positions including Vice President of Corporate Development and Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development. Coquart joined the Executive Committee in 2010 and became the CEO of Legrand Group in 2018.
Despite the drop in sales caused by the global pandemic, Coquart has remained optimistic about a strong recovery, tweeting that the company has maintained R&D investments equal to 5% of total sales to strengthen the fundamentals and innovate in preparation for a strong return of the commercial business.
Coquart was awarded the Digital Industry’s Smart Boss trophy in 2015, for his role in taking charge of strategy, and moving the company towards its digital transformation.
